Ramen X
Not an expert on Japanese ramen. And I don't pretend to know it all. But I have tasted quite a number of ramen from different restaurants all claiming to have authentic Japanese ramen so I would like to believe that I would know if it tasted good or not. At least for my taste. Oh well, enough of that.
We tried Ramen X at Eton Centris along EDSA- Quezon Avenue. Spacious place. High ceiling. Minimalist. First time to order at the cashier. Usually Japanese restaurants here take your order at the table. This one, you order and pay at the cashier.
We ordered Oishi Ramen (P149), soy and miso based soup with roast pork, chopped onions, fish cake, half soft-boiled egg, crunchy cabbage and chilli paste. My hubby ordered Yoshi Ramen (P189), soy-based soup with marinated pork belly, half soft-boiled egg and seaweed. Both served in enormous bowls, definitely fulfilling. Taste-wise, surprisingly good, tasty, flavourful, and rich. The noodle is good enough and plenty, cooked just right for me. The pork is tender and tasty. And on top of it all, it's super affordable for the huge portions.
We also ordered Taro Milk Tea (P60) and Blueberry fruit juice (P60), cheap and good too!
All in all, it was a good meal and we will definitely coming back =)
