Ryu Ramen and Curry
Our default ramen house whenever we feel the urge to eat Japanese ramen. This place is where we get our ramen-fix. First, because it's near my office although parking there is really terrible and second, it's one of the best tasting, at least for us. We love their Tantanmen, a yummy spicy miso-based soup with ground pork, soft-boiled egg, nori (dried seaweed), garlic oil and tender chashu pork and Ryu Curry Ramen, freshly-made curry with a steaming hot bowl of noodles. We also love their Karaage. Servings are big, noodle al-dente (sorry I can't think of any word to describe a noodle that is cooked just right), soup is thick and flavourful. Their Karaage chicken is crunchy and the sauce is a perfect match to the chicken. You can opt to see the cook in action as the kitchen is enclosed in a glass panel. The service is good. The staff and cook are attentive. The place is clean as well as the bathroom if you care to do the deed. The design is minimalist. As I have said, this is our go-to place whenever we want ramen so it goes to say that we will always go back to this place.
